Barranquillero writer Daniel Franco Sanchez launched his first novel recently, a captivating love story entitled “Valentina”. The event took place at La Cueva, a local restaurant and also foundation.
Inspired by and set in Cartagena, the novel attempts to capture the inner workings of teen-aged society. It revolves around Antonio, an emamoured young lad who navigates his way through the trials and tribulations of teen life: sex, drugs, and alcohol, in search of his true love, Valentina.
According to Franco, the story is a compilation of many romances and personal experiences woven from his own life.
This is a fresh, young and highly explorative writer, whose work has been widely read. We’re looking forward to his next creation, which will apparently continue the thread of romance but more support from the worlds of music and fiction.
