Art aficionados won’t want to miss the latest exhibition at Galeria de La Aduana by CLENA.
On June 8th, the talented Colombian artist, Gustavo Gallardo opened his exhibition, Cuentos en mi Mente (Tales On My Mind). Unveiled last year at the Biblioteca del Congreso de la República de Colombia in Bogota, this exhibition includes twelve stunning paintings capturing the inner workings of the artist’s mind.
Well-known for his use of lighting and shadows, Gallardo combines traditional pastels, acrylics, and charcoal with modern digital manipulation, breathing movement and life into each of his pieces, instilling a dark sense of depth, mystery, and fantasy.
According to Gallardo, “My sources of inspiration are dreams, feelings born of moments and situations, songs, and outstanding encounters of everyday life. Art has always lived in me, so I hope to express, draw, paint, create and write, as this is the life I was born for.”
About Cuentos en mi Mente.. “Because reality is like a dream; it can come to life if you believe, if you trust, if you understand that it’s your reality, and by being yourself, for you, it will become truth.”
