The latest craze to hit this city is cupcakes, coffee and ice cream shops and there are plenty of new choices available. Over the last few months, I’ve made an effort to check out as many as possible and I’ve been quite impressed with the selection.

My personal favorite is Delycius Gelato Cafe, located at the corner of Calle 76 and Cra 50. I’ve been there several times now and on each ocassion I’ve been more than satisfied. The staff are friendly and the service is quick. Moreover, the food is delicious – they have several varieties of cakes, cupcakes, tarts, cookies and pies and to top it all off, the owner makes a wonderful Italian gelato, onsite. Plus, the internet is super quick, the furniture is comfortable and for people like me who work on the fly, they have plenty of electrical outlets.

I just learned today that not only is their gelato (Italian ice-cream) made on-location, but indeed, the store also has a bakery in the back; all of their baked goods are also made on-site, from fresh ingedients without preservatives.

This afternoon, I had a chance to speak with the owner, Luis, about his business. You can see that video here: https://youtu.be/u6DdasAA7hk
