Carnavalada is an open-air exposition for arts such as theater and traditional music, presented on a boulevard in front of the house of its creator, theater director Dario Moreu. This excellent showcase that started as a “block party” 15 years back, gained so much popularity thanks to the excellent participation of performance artists, comparsas and musicians, that it had to be relocated to Museo del Caribe’s amphitheater near Centro.

In the photos below you’ll see world-renowned musicians such as Totó la Momposina, and Juventino Ojito and his porro band, and Palo Santo with his excellent cumbia.
